Flowing ribs run across the whole surface, winding around the body, converging at the waist and fanning out again toward the mouth. In doing so the form turns in on itself — no two viewing angles are alike. NYX does not look made, but grown.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eBrass contains real brass particles in the filament. The metal is not a color applied to the surface but part of the material — and it behaves accordingly. You notice it when you pick it up: Brass in Large weighs over a kilogram.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe patina forms on the object.\u003c\/strong\u003e After printing, the surface is exposed and the patination is deliberately set in motion. What happens next can be guided but not predicted exactly: the material decides where the brass converts, and how strongly. That is why every Brass is different, and why I cannot promise you that yours will look like the one in the photo.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe surface stays open.\u003c\/strong\u003e It is not sealed. That means it goes on changing — slowly, over years, depending on where the vessel stands and how often it is touched. That is intended.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePrinted, not cast.\u003c\/strong\u003e The form is developed on the computer and built up layer by layer in 3D printing, on an FDM machine in the studio in Memmingen. The fine lines on the surface are exactly those layers. They stay visible because they show how the vessel came to be.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eEverything after that happens object by object: deburring, breaking edges, treating the surface, setting the felt base, checking, packing. Every piece has its number and its batch entered on the Object Card.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe weight also comes from a steel core in the base. It sits in a sealed capsule and gives the vessel a low center of gravity — hold it to your ear and you will hear it faintly.
